Yes, there have been reports of the Mate 20 Pro occasionally experiencing lag and lock-ups when accessing photos. While this may not be a widespread issue, it's worth investigating if you're facing this problem. There could be a variety of factors contributing to this issue. One possibility is that there might be a conflict between certain apps or processes running in the background, causing the slower performance when accessing photos. Another potential cause could be a lack of available storage space on your device. To troubleshoot and address this problem, you can try the following steps: 1. Clear cache: Go to Settings > Apps > [App name] > Storage > Clear cache. Repeat this step for all the apps you use to access photos. 2. Free up storage space: Delete unnecessary files, apps, or media to create more available storage on your device. You can use the built-in Files app or a third-party file manager to identify and remove large files or unused apps. 3. Uninstall conflicting apps: If you notice that the lag is specifically happening when using certain apps to access photos, try uninstalling those apps and see if the issue persists. Reinstalling them later might resolve any conflicts that were causing the lag. 4. Update apps and system software: Make sure that all your apps and the system software are up to date. Sometimes developers release updates that address performance and compatibility issues that could resolve the lag problem. 5. Reset app preferences: Go to Settings > Apps > Menu (three dots on the top right corner) > Reset app preferences. This can reset any custom settings you might have applied to your apps and can help resolve any conflicts that might be causing the issue. 6. Perform a factory reset: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, you can try performing a factory reset. However, be aware that this will erase all data on your device, so make sure to back up your important files before proceeding. To perform a factory reset, go to Settings > System > Reset > Factory data reset. If the problem persists even after following these steps, it might be worth reaching out to Huawei customer support or visiting a service center to further diagnose and resolve the issue.
